When I first read this book, I was employed and struggling with dissatisfaction, despite doing relatively well. Over time, as I became self-employed and started my entrepreneurial journey, I found myself returning to this book again and again. Each time, I discovered new insights that aligned with my growth, making it a book that truly evolves with you.

A standout chapter for me is There Is No Such Thing As A Fixed Income. The section on Energetic Minimums and Maximums especially struck a chord.

“We all have energetic rules, standards, and patterns for how life and money work for us. I often refer to these as energetic set points.

There is an amount of money you can’t imagine earning more than. There is an amount of money you can’t imagine earning less than.

There is an amount of money we never let our accounts go below (even if that’s a negative number) and an amount of money we could never imagine our accounts going above. Some people can’t imagine having a mortgage because they believe in buying everything in cash. There are people who imagine being late on their mortgage. Others feel an eviction notice is pretty standard but would not be okay with being evicted. Some people have been evicted and have been in and out of shelters but can’t imagine ending up on the streets. And we all have our worth linked up with the above. I will say it again, you are worthy because you are. Your financial past and your current money habits have absolutely and completely nothing to do with what you get to choose to do from here.”
