My favourite chapter in this book is When You Think You Have Surrendered, Surrender More. Letting go of control can be one of life’s biggest challenges, but Gabby breaks it down in a way that feels both attainable and uplifting. Her steps toward surrender remind us that we’re never truly stuck and that the present moment holds infinite possibilities.

This passage from the chapter particularly stood out to me:

Turn Over Time
“The biggest block to living with faith is time. There are many situations in our lives that we cannot control. You can’t decide the exact day you’ll conceive, the moment that your lover will propose, or a million other things. But you can control how you experience each moment of the day. The way to surrender your needs to control time is to embrace the present moment. In any moment you can receive a miracle with the decision to choose love. That simple choice, to choose love over fear, can release you of time and restore your hope and faith. Love is a decision, and all that is asked of you is the willingness to choose it. Each time you do is a miracle. And with total willingness your obsession with time will end. The miracle is now.”

This passage resonated deeply with me, as surrendering time and control is something I’ve grappled with myself. Gabby’s words are a gentle nudge to release the grip of impatience and let life unfold in its own perfect timing.

There are four steps in total in this chapter, and I recommend revisiting them whenever you feel the need to reset and release. They’re deceptively simple yet profoundly transformative when put into practice.
